Celebration of the 100th Birth Anniversary of Princess Prem (Ngarmchit) Purachatra as World Eminent Person
In the light of the announcement of UNESCO to honor Princess Prem (Ngarmchit) Purachatra to be a World Eminent Person on the occasion of her Centennial Birth Anniversary in 2015, for her notable dedication in Public Welfare, Human Resources Development as well as in Education and Cultural Sectors that brought happiness and honor to Thailand and the Thai people. Thus, HRH Princess Soamsawali has graciously accepted to preside over the Committee for the celebration of the event.
Various activities will be organized as follows:
1) Celebration Party on Sunday, 7th June 2015 at Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Hall to honor Princess Prem (Ngarmchit) Purachatra, a World Eminent Person on the occasion of her Centennial Birth Anniversary.
2) Exhibition of Princess’ Life and Her Remarkable Work at the Bangkok Arts and Cultural Hall, June 2015.
3) Exhibition of Princess’ remarkable work in selected regional cities, namely, Khon Kaen, Chonburi, Chiengmai, and Songkhla,June 2015.
4) Seminars on the theme of Princess’ dedications to Public Welfare, Women, Rural Communities and Educational Development.
5) Ceremonies for the award of "the 100th Birth Anniversary of Princess Prem (Ngarmchit) Purachatra as World Eminent Person in 2015" to persons who should be honored for their outstanding work in Education, Mass media, Cultural and Moral promotions and Social and Quality of Life Development.
6) Prepare VDOs and television programs to give honor to Princess Prem (Ngarmchit) Purachatra.
7) Organize contests on article writing to commemorate Princess Prem (Ngarmchit) Purachatra’s notable contributions.
8) To publish a book in memory of the 100th Birth Anniversary of Princess Prem (Ngarmchit) Purachatra.
9) To issue commemorative stamps on the occasion of Princess Prem (Ngarmchit) Purachatra to be a World Eminent Person on her Centennial Birth Anniversary in 2015.
10) To organize a Buddhist ceremony to further enhance her merits at Ban Manang kasila, Larn Luang Road, Bangkok.
